MY STORY
My name is Mignonne Munyaburanga, and I am a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) student at George Mason University with a strong passion for improving the well-being of individuals and families through compassionate, person-centered care.
With professional experience as a Behavioral Health Specialist, Medication Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and medical interpreter, I have worked with diverse populations, including older adults, individuals with mental health needs, refugees, and immigrant communities.
I am committed to advocating for vulnerable populations and believes that every individual deserves dignity, respect, and access to quality care. My academic training, combined with hands-on experience in healthcare and behavioral health, has strengthened my skills in crisis intervention, client support, medication management, cultural competence, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
As I prepare to graduate and continue my career in social work, I hope to make a meaningful impact in behavioral health, community mental health, and family services. I am dedicated to lifelong learning, professional growth, and empowering individuals to achieve healthier and more fulfilling lives.
