Current or upcoming students at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and George Mason University (GMU), as well as students in the ADVANCE Program, may be eligible to apply for one of our 2026-27 Scholarships.
APPLICATION CRITERIA
To be eligible, all applicants must:

Reside in Northern Virginia: Alexandria City, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Falls Church City, Loudoun County, or Prince William County

Attend or be enrolled at GMU or NOVA

Be an undergraduate or graduate student in any field of study attending full or part time

Have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file

Demonstrate a record of academic success (GPA of 3.0 or greater)
To apply, please submit:

Completed application form with all fields filled.

Completed 2026-2027 verification of student enrollment, expenses and financial aid form. Fill out the form with an authorized administrator with your school's Financial Aid Office. The submitted verification form must be signed by the authorized representative, or your application cannot be accepted.

One-page biography stating your educational background, program of study, plans for completing chosen degree, and how financial support will assist in continuing your education and goals for the future.
