SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES

We are proud to announce that this academic year, our Board has awarded scholarships to 23 outstanding students, all attending George Mason University (GMU).

• 18 students received scholarships through our Scholarship Fund General Scholarships, recognizing their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to their communities.

• Three exceptional students were each awarded one of our endowed scholarships:

  • The Women’s Club of Great Falls Endowment

  • The Doris Fisher Irwin Endowment

  • The Holly Ann Kuga Endowment

We are also continuing our strong support of the Early Identification Program (EIP) at GMU:

• We renewed scholarships for our four EIP students from previous years.

• We funded two new EIP students: Becky Alvarenga-Mendez and Kani Buzainy.

• We extended funding for both of last year’s EIP recipients for the next three years.

• Looking ahead, we have committed to funding two new EIP students beginning their freshman year in Fall 2026.

In addition, we are thrilled to continue our newest initiative supporting inclusive education. This year, we selected two incredible students for the Mason LIFE Program at GMU, awarding a $10,000 scholarship to support their educational journeys. The Mason LIFE Program empowers students with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing inclusive education, life skills training, and support for independent living.
