Mariah Tammera

MY STORY

My name is Mariah Tammera.  I am an undergraduate senior in the Honors College at George Mason University where I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. I plan to pursue a career in material science and engineering.  After attending a research internship with the University of Virginia’s Advanced Materials Synthesis (AMS) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program during the Summer of 2023. At UVA’s AMS REU, I had the opportunity to gain valuable technical knowledge and hands-on exposure to materials applications under the mentorship of both a Principal Investigator and Graduate Research Assistant. This experience solidified my interest in materials science and engineering.
