MY STORY
My name is Lindsey Heyn. Growing up with personal health struggles shaped the way I view wellness, resilience, and community care.
Navigating my own challenges taught me how deeply physical and mental
health can affect every part of a person’s life, and it inspired my passion for helping others build
healthier, more sustainable lifestyles. Those experiences are what led me to pursue a degree in
Community Health, with plans to continue into an accelerated master’s program in public health.
In addition to my studies, I work as a barista at a public relations firm, complete administrative
work for a nonprofit organization in Arlington, and run my own health coaching business.
Through coaching, I have been able to support others in creating realistic wellness habits while
continuing to learn more about the importance of compassion and individualized care.
Outside of academics and work, I stay involved in my community through volleyball, coaching
youth athletes, and participating in a local mahjong club. Balancing these commitments while
maintaining a 3.97 GPA has strengthened my discipline, empathy, and determination.
My long-term goal is to make healthcare and wellness education feel more accessible and joyful for
people who may feel overwhelmed or overlooked in their own health journeys.
