GMU Biology
MY STORY
George Mason University. I chose Biology as my major because I’ve always been curious about how the body works and how science can be used to truly help people. My goal is to go to medical school and become a doctor, not just to treat patients, but to be someone they can relate to, trust, and feel seen by. As a woman of color and a first-gen student in STEM, I know how rare it can be to see someone who looks like me in these spaces. That’s part of why I’m so driven, I want to be a part of breaking barriers, challenge stereotypes, and prove that we belong here. I carry my family’s support with me every step of the way, and making them proud is one of my biggest motivations.

Outside of academics, I love art, creative expression, and just spending time with the people I care about. Whether I’m drawing, listening to music, or laughing with friends and family, those simple moments remind me who I am and why I’m pursuing an education.
