D. H. Shah

My name is D. H. Shah. I am a first-generation undergraduate student at George Mason University, where I’m pursuing a degree in Business. My family and I moved to the United States from Afghanistan five years ago, and we've recently settled in Virginia. Being the first in my family to attend college in America means a lot not just to me, but to my entire family. They’ve sacrificed so much to give me this opportunity, and they take pride in seeing me pursue higher education. Because of the pressure, I began my academic journey with a lot of uncertainty, but now I feel fully committed to completing my degree and making the most of every opportunity that is available to me.
